Construction is officially underway for Fire Station 94 at 739 First Street in downtown Brentwood.
A celebratory groundbreaking will take place September 8 at 11 a.m., highlighting Brentwood’s focus on strengthening public safety.
Contra Costa Fire Protection District says the new station will significantly improve emergency response times and serve the local community’s needs.
Residents are thanked for their patience during construction, which is set for weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through next year’s end.
The striking, two-story brick building will feature classic Main Street design, celebrating Brentwood’s legacy of volunteer firefighters.
The site, home to fire services for almost a century, is being revitalized after the original station closed in 2014 due to budget issues.
