Get ready for the 37th Annual Kids Fishing Derby on Saturday, October 11, 2025, taking place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Waldie Plaza and the Antioch Public Fishing Pier.
This cherished community event honors ‘Compy’ Compomizzo, whose vision inspired generations to "Get kids hooked on fishing, not drugs or gangs."
Youth aged 15 and under are welcome to participate, learn about conservation, and share in the excitement of friendly fishing competition.
Same-day registration is available, promising a morning of fun and unforgettable moments at the water’s edge.
Children are encouraged to bring fishing poles, but a small supply of rods and reels will be offered to those without gear.
