Keep Antioch Beautiful Brings Volunteer Projects to Antioch This Weekend

Antioch’s Earth Month volunteer push is returning this weekend with Keep Antioch Beautiful, a community service effort built around cleanup, landscaping, and tree-planting projects. The city lists Antioch Skatepark and Waldie Plaza among the locations connected to this year’s activities, with volunteers helping tackle visible neighborhood improvement work.

The event is tied to both Earth Day and Arbor Day, and the city encourages residents to gather friends or family and take part in beautification projects at home, in neighborhoods, classrooms, or local businesses. Antioch’s event page also highlights work planned around the Nick Rodriguez Community Center, the Antioch Skatepark, and tree planting connected to Arbor Day.

Participants are asked to bring work gloves, and the city is also running a #KeepAntiochBeautiful photo raffle tied to community beautification efforts posted between April 22 and April 24. That gives the event a broader feel than a single cleanup stop, with both volunteer projects and a citywide social component encouraging more residents to participate.

For Antioch residents looking for a practical weekend way to show up locally, this one is about as direct as it gets. It is a service-focused event with visible impact, and the combination of cleanup work, landscaping, and tree planting makes it one of the stronger Earth Month community efforts on the East County calendar.
