Papa Joe and the New Deal headline the final evening of the popular marina concert series alongside Black Excellence Wines, J. Moss, and Headlands Brewery.
Summer at Pittsburg Marina will come to a lively close on Friday, September 4 as the waterfront hosts the final evening of its popular seasonal concert series with live music, local wine, craft beer, artisan vendors, and Delta sunset views.
Bringing the energy for the season finale is Papa Joe and the New Deal, a band known for delivering crowd-pleasing performances that blend classic favorites, danceable rhythms, and high-energy entertainment. The group is expected to turn the marina into a lively community gathering space as residents and visitors celebrate the unofficial end of summer along the waterfront.
Part of the ongoing First Fridays at Pittsburg Marina series, the free event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and continues the tradition of combining live music with regional wineries, local breweries, food vendors, and artisan booths in one of the city’s most scenic outdoor settings.
This month’s featured beverage lineup includes Black Excellence Wines, J. Moss Wines, and Headlands Brewery, giving guests the opportunity to sample local flavors while enjoying the marina atmosphere. Visitors can stroll vendor booths, sip wine by the water, enjoy craft beer, and settle in for an evening of live entertainment as the sun sets across the Delta.
One of the things that has made the marina series so popular throughout the summer is the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Families, couples, groups of friends, and visitors from around the region all gather along the waterfront to enjoy the music and community vibe without the pressure of a large festival environment. It feels local, comfortable, and easy to enjoy.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and spend the evening taking in the waterfront scenery while supporting local artists, makers, wineries, breweries, and musicians. Artisan vendors will once again be set up throughout the event showcasing handmade goods, artwork, and specialty items from around East Contra Costa County.
As Pittsburg continues investing in its waterfront and community events, the marina concert series has helped establish the area as one of the region’s growing summer gathering destinations. The September event not only wraps up the season but also highlights how much the waterfront has become a place where residents can gather, relax, and celebrate local culture together.
