Two nights of live stand-up at Cap's Oak Street Bar & Grill on May 29 and 30
Cap's Oak Street Bar & Grill is turning its downtown Brentwood dining room into a comedy club for two nights this May, welcoming comedian Keon Polee for a limited run of live stand-up.
The shows are set for Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30, with doors opening at 7 p.m. and the performance starting at 9 p.m. Cap's has long been a gathering place along Oak Street, known for its banquet room, full bar, and Italian and Mediterranean menu. For these two evenings, the space shifts into an intimate comedy setting where locals can settle in for dinner, drinks, and a night of laughs without leaving town.
Keon Polee has built a following through appearances on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Comedy Central, blending crowd work with storytelling that tends to land well in smaller rooms. The setup at Cap's — limited seating, tables close to the stage, and a full kitchen running through the show — gives the night a neighborhood feel rather than a big-venue production.
For Brentwood, events like this add something to the downtown evening scene that does not require a trip across the bridge. It is the kind of local programming that brings together regulars, first-timers, and anyone looking for a low-key night out with a little energy.
Tickets are $20. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling Cap's at (925) 634-1025.
