Banner Up! 2025: Brentwood's Vibrant Art Auction Returns |
Celebrating local artistry and community spirit in downtown Brentwood |
The Art Guild of the Delta is thrilled to announce the return of Banner Up! 2025 to downtown Brentwood for its ninth consecutive year.
This cherished program has significantly contributed to the local arts scene, supporting four Brentwood non-profits over the past eight years and distributing over $45,000 to beneficiaries and artists alike.
We extend our gratitude to the City of Brentwood's Economic Development Program, the Brentwood Downtown Coalition, CoCo Wine Company, Curios-ity, The Press, and BR Graphics for their unwavering support and enthusiasm for this community art initiative.
Banner Up! plays a pivotal role in establishing Brentwood as a hub for arts and culture.
By adorning public streets with vibrant banners during the lively summer months, the program highlights local talent and fosters connections between artists and the community, encouraging interactive discussions about shared experiences, beliefs, and history.
Starting in June, these colorful banners will be displayed throughout downtown Brentwood and City Park.
Visitors can enjoy them along Oak Street, Chestnut Street, 1st Street, and within the scenic City Park.
We invite you to take a walking tour to appreciate the banners and perhaps find one that resonates with you.
The banners will remain on display until mid-September.
A public art auction event will be held at The Brentwood Senior Center on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 6 to 9 pm.
Proceeds from the banner auction sales will be equally divided between the Adventure Therapy Foundation and the local artists who created the banners.
The Adventure Therapy Foundation is an award-winning organization dedicated to providing transformative experiences for families facing the challenges of cancer.
Through their support programs, they offer a holistic approach to healing and empowerment, addressing not only the physical but also the emotional side effects of the disease.
By acknowledging these emotional challenges, the foundation believes in fostering comprehensive and genuine healing.
As a nonprofit, the Adventure Therapy Foundation aims to break the destructive cycles of isolation, fear, and broken identity in families impacted by cancer.
Their programs are designed to teach individuals and families how to confront and overcome these side effects.
With the recent release of their first book, Cancering, they are expanding their services through book clubs, collaborations, and online workshops.
For more information, including upcoming events, visit their website.
Throughout the year, they host a variety of events aimed at creating connections within the cancer community, raising public awareness and education about cancer, and raising funds to support families.
From ice skating to kayaking, many of these events take place outdoors, leveraging the healing power found in nature.
In addition to Banner Up! 2025, downtown Brentwood continues to thrive with new developments and events.
The Makers Boulevard, a vibrant monthly artisan market, transforms Oak Street into a lively open-air marketplace every third Saturday.
Visitors can discover a diverse array of locally crafted items, enjoy live entertainment, and participate in family-friendly activities.
Furthermore, the Streets of Brentwood is undergoing significant renovations to enhance the shopping and entertainment experience.
These improvements include new landscaping, additional dining options, and modernized retail spaces, all aimed at creating a more vibrant community hub.
We encourage everyone to participate in Banner Up! 2025 and support the local arts community.
Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply looking to engage with the community, this event offers a unique opportunity to experience the rich cultural tapestry of Brentwood.
